Today the pilgrimage route is in many ways a steadily growing tourist attraction for Northern Spain and can sometimes almost be perceived as too busy. But the trail still has some untouched gems left and on selected occasions we will take you off the beaten track to explore what others might pass by. During this Camino de Santiago self-guided biking you discover charming O Cebreiro, Samos Portomarín, Sarria & Santiago and get to visit one of Spain’s most beautiful & important Cathedrals. Do it on your own pace with the comfort of knowing that you have your hotel booked and reliable luggage transport ready!
Day 1
Arrival at the airport of Santiago de Compostela or Madrid. Transfer on your own to the hotel. Dinner on your own.
Day 2
Transfer to starting point in beautiful pilgrim village of O Cebreiro with Celtic origin. You eat lunch and get acquainted with the bikes. After lunch you hit the road on your own against Samos (about 30km). Hostal with dinner waiting. The bikes in the garage overnight.
Day 3
The cycling continues past Sarria – maybe a good stop for lunch and with new strengths be able to ascend towards Portomarin – the village Franco decided to move stone by stone because a dam would be built. We stay over at a Hostal. Dinner on your own! Approx. 30km
Day 4
You cycle goes deeper into the green Galicia and you find yourselves on the charming back roads that meander through a beautiful living peasant landscape. Night on a spa Hotel Balneario in the Palas de Rei area with access to spa pools. Lunch and dinner on your own at the hotel restaurant or cafetería. Approx. 30km cycling.
Day 5
The cycling continues about 30km past Melide and into Arzua where we seek out small village Pantiñobre where you stay at a charming country hotel and enjoy a typical Galician dinner, including cheese tasting of the region’s cheeses.
Day 6
The last day’s cycling is a bit hilly and you ride into Santiago past the airport via the Monte do Gozo where we can now can spot the cathedral’s tower between the trees to the west. Once in town, we take into a fine Hotel 500m from the Cathedral and 1.5 km from the bus station. The bikes are returned (about 800m walk to their office) and visit to Santiago. We recommend a delicious seafood dinner next to the cathedral. The city also have excellent meat & fish to offer! Daily fresh and very worthwile!

Transfer to the airport on your own and journey home!
